Terrestrial, Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (TAO) is a SCI-accredited journal publishing original scientific articles, notes, correspondence and reviews on the solid earth, atmosphere, hydrosphere and space. In general, articles should not exceed 15 printed pages including illustrations. Notes and correspondences should be limited to 5 printed pages. Reviews should put previous scientific work of at least ten years into perspective. Although reviews may be longer than articles, prospective authors are advised to discuss their plans with an editor or associate editor in advance. Submission of a contribution is assumed to indicate that no similar paper, other than an abstract or a preliminary report, has been, or will be, submitted for publication elsewhere. A cover letter including such a statement and describing the nature and the significance of the manuscript is required. It is also required to suggest three potential reviewers in the cover letter (download blank cover letter).
1. Manuscript submission and preparation
Manuscripts should be submitted either in electronic format or hard copy. For electronic submission, manuscripts should be prepared in Portable Document Format (PDF) and submitted either by e-mail (tao@cgu.org.tw) or by mailing a CD-ROM that contains the file to the TAO Office (TAO, P.O. Box 23-59, Taipei, Taiwan 10699, ROC). The file should be named after the first author, such as "Smith_AB.doc". For hard copy submission, three copies of the manuscript should be mailed to the TAO Office (TAO, P.O. Box 23-59, Taipei, Taiwan 10699, ROC).
